FinOps Assessment

Know where your FinOps practice stands, and what to do first. In one to three days.

One baseline everyone agrees on

Engineering and finance often see the same practice very differently.

We put engineering, finance and architecture together and score each capability together. We score the practice, not the people.

HOW IT WORKS

Different perspectives, honest review

We follow the FinOps Foundation assessment approach, adapted to your scope and teams.

01

Scope

We define two parameters before anything else: the Target Group (which part of the organisation we assess) and the Target Scope (which capabilities we assess). We also agree on lens weighting and target scores, and identify the stakeholders and SMEs who will take part.

Target Group

A team, a product, a business unit, or the whole organisation.

Target Scope

One capability, a domain, or the full Framework, depending on where you are in your journey.

02

Interviews

We interview engineering, finance, architecture and other relevant stakeholders. Before we start, we ask you to score yourselves: your self-score is a key input, not a formality.

Discovery questions are prepared per capability and per stakeholder group. Where answers differ across stakeholders, that difference is a finding in itself.

03

Analysis

We score each capability in scope through five lenses. Each lens is scored 0–4, giving 100 points per capability. We weigh each lens according to what matters most for your scope.

04

Roadmap

We present the results back to leadership, then translate them into a roadmap. For each capability in scope, you get concrete jobs to be done and the maturity level they move you towards, in an order where each step builds on the last.

Where does your practice stand?

A short conversation is enough to scope your one-to-three-day assessment. We'll talk through your teams, your environment and what you want to measure.
